I enjoy chocolate, coffee, cats, needlework, books, jewellery-making, going to cons, hanging out with friends, making chain mail, and many other things too numerous to list here.
I work in a computer-related industry. The rest, you either know already or will learn from reading my posts. :)
I'm pretty open about a lot of things, and I like meeting new people. I'm more complicated than I look on the surface, though, so not everybody gets to know all about me. I don't mind people asking me questions about anything, but I reserve the right to decline to answer if I'd prefer not to expound on said topic.
I'm pretty live-and-let-live about most things; I may not share the same views as some, but as long as nobody tries to force theirs on me, I'm happy to leave it at that.
I have a geriatric kitty who's my little girl and the best kitty in the world. :) She's 17 as of January 2009. She has kidney disease, so is on a special diet, but is still eating and drinking well, and happy, so that's all I can ask. Edit June 2009: Kittiness passed away May 14, 2009. Rest in peace, my beloved girl, and I'll see you in the Summerlands one day.
Edit May 2010: I have now been adopted by two lovely girl kitties. :) I still miss my beloved Kittiness dearly, of course, but it doesn't hurt as much as it once did. I had been starting to wonder, am I ready...? I had already decided to have two next time around, if there were a next time, so they'd have each other for company when I wasn't around. I also decided that the Universe would tell me when the time was right. Well...
In February 2010, I was outside my apartment building and heard a loud, frightened sounding MIAOWWWWWWWWWWWW! I paused, heard it again, and started to meow back. I then saw a little white kitty face peer over the wall, jump down onto the recycle bin, and to the ground. I picked her up, glad for my denim jacket, and she was shivering, whether from cold or fear or both I wasn't sure. I talked calmly to her and she started to quiet.
My neighbour came by and said oh, is that your cat? I told her no, related how I'd found her, and the neighbour offered me some cat fuds. I had none, and my neighbour said she already had 4 cats and a dog so was full up; I gratefully accepted the cat fuds.
When she brought it to me, I had the little girl inside, had given her a look over, and was looking for the kitty litter; my neighbour said, um, about the kitty... the one you have isn't the one I saw. So, there were two cats, both pure white, green eyes, looking very similar, and outside our building...? She offered to see if the other one were still there, and I said if she is, bring her to me, please?
I put up ads, notices, and so on, and not one call or email came in notifying me that they were missing kitties. So, I am now Mom again, to two beautiful pure white kitties, who are roughly 1-3yrs old. Their names are Gracie Law and Miao Yin. I think it's possible that perhaps Kittiness sent them my way...
I love horror flicks and enjoy snarking about bad movies. I have to be in the right frame of mind for the horror flicks, though; sometimes they're too much for me.
